This Coins Policy applies to users resident in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK.
You must be at least 18 years old to buy and use Coins on the Platform.
This Coins Policy (“Coins Policy”) sets out the terms and conditions that govern the purchase and use of Coins on the Platform. The purchase and use of Coins on the Platform is entirely voluntary.
SHIPSANITOR Limited (a company registered in England) make Coins available via the Platform. However, the Shipsanitor entity that is solely responsible for any payment, financial or tax obligations in relation to Coins is SHIPSANITOR Limited.
Capitalized terms not defined in this Coins Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Service and our Rewards Policy. Our Terms of Service apply to your purchase and use of Coins on the Platform and our Privacy Policy describes how we process your personal data.
Coins are virtual items that can be purchased by users of the Platform (“Coins”). Coins can only be used on the Platform as a way to activate or access other virtual items or services that may be made available on the Platform from time to time (“Virtual Items”).
The number of Coins that are needed to activate or access Virtual Items will be displayed to you in advance, so, before you buy Coins, you should check how many you need. When you purchase Coins, the cost per Coin differs depending on how many you buy at one time and where you buy them. We will make the total price of the Coin package clear to you when you are buying Coins. You can track your spending on Coins, and how you use them to access Virtual Items, using the following tools:
The total number of Coins in your account will be updated each time you purchase Coins or use them in exchange for Virtual Items. Your account balance is shown in your Home screen plus you will always find in your Settings (Settings and privacy > Balance) and any time you are about to use Coins to activate or access Virtual Items such as Ask Elara, or to Generate special report.

Coins Usage
Nature and Use: Coins are virtual items purchased by users to access or activate other virtual items or services available on the Platform from time to time (“Virtual Items”).
Pricing and Purchasing: The number of Coins required for Virtual Items will be displayed beforehand. Coin prices vary based on quantity and purchase method. The total cost will be provided at the time of purchase.
Account Management:
Coin balance updates with each purchase or use.
Transaction History reflects spending in local currency.
Coin History details Coin usage on the Platform.
Purchase Methods
General Requirements:
Users must be registered and at least 18 years old.
Requests to buy Coins may be refused if underage use is suspected.
Direct Purchases from Shipsanitor:
The total price is displayed at purchase.
Coins are credited upon payment receipt.
Account discrepancies will be corrected promptly.
Declined payments result in automatic order cancellation.
Purchases through Third-Party App Stores:
The respective app store’s in-app purchase terms apply.
Refund and cancellation queries should be directed to the app store.
Refunds, Withdrawals, and Guarantees
Refund Policy:
Refunds are not provided unless Coins are defective, except as required by law.
EEA and UK residents have a 14-day Withdrawal Period from the day after purchase to request refunds for unused Coins.
Refund requests must include the transaction ID or a completed withdrawal form.
Processing Refunds:
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days.
No fees are charged for refunds.
Third-Party Purchases: Refund requests must be addressed to the respective app store.
Legal Guarantees:
EEA consumers are entitled to a two-year legal guarantee.
National laws may provide additional rights.
User Rights and Restrictions
License: Users are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use Coins and Virtual Items on the Platform.
Prohibitions: Coins and Virtual Items cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged outside the Platform except as explicitly permitted.
Expiry and Discontinuation:
Coins do not expire but may be discontinued with reasonable advance notice.
Users may be required to use Coins before access is terminated.
Account Termination:
Shipsanitor may terminate or suspend Coin usage rights for breaches of the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
Users may close their accounts at any time and should use remaining Coins before termination.
