MSC Cruises has announced its inaugural sailings to Alaska, marking the first time the cruise line will venture into the region. Bookings are now open for these exciting new itineraries, set to launch in 2026, according to a recent press release.

The MSC Poesia will be homeported in Seattle for the 2026 summer season, offering seven-night sailings to Alaska and Canada, departing weekly from May 11, 2026. The itineraries will feature stops at popular destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, stated, “MSC Cruises is known for offering an extensive range of destinations and embarkation points worldwide. With the addition of Alaska, we’re expanding our global reach, giving guests the chance to explore this breathtaking region.”

After its Alaska summer season, the MSC Poesia will relocate to Miami for winter sailings, with transit cruises through the Panama Canal scheduled during the repositioning.
